    July 17, 2023 - I’m back… and yes I drank my last btle ever.
I thought it was good this time last year, and I’m here to tell you it’s on point now. For those who are cellaring, crack a btle - you won’t be disappointed.
    Enjoy

July 14, 2022 - Important: disregard the last notes made in 2017.
Unfortunately for them they tried that wine when it was in its second lull fermentation period..
Fast forward to 2022,… sexy 2008 aged, classic Barossa business that I’m glad I’ve held onto.
For those who are cellaring, I highly recommend you drink a btle if you like it with very well integrated aged fruit, silk tannins & a length to die for! (Within a 2hr window & after a 1/2hr Decant)
For those who are thinking of leaving it, good luck
it will be a dirty cigar box, dry your palate & really you’ll get no pleasure - unless you like that sort of thing…

Looking forward to consuming the other 2 btles this year.

September 3, 2017 - Red berry, meaty, smokey notes. Smooth palate, loads of spice (and sediment). Probably a little past its best.

September 7, 2014 - On it's way out, but still bringing a little disco to your glass. Vibrant red and dark fruits and sweet floral bouquet that dances in you glass. Medium bodied, and the balance tipping away from a higher score. Still an impressive wine, but missing that wow factor I was anticipating.

December 8, 2013 - NobleRottersSydney - Christmas Lunch 2013 (DavidC's house): {screwcap, 14.5%} (DavidC) Too young to drink. (Or drunk too late in the day. As was I, probably). Big ripe raspberry flavours. Soft earthy tannins. Front palate weight. Medium-full body, with only a short-medium finish. Very ripe, quite warm, but a bit simple overall. Best before it’s ten I think.

June 22, 2012 - This wine really needed some time to settle. Previously it was brash in youth; tannic, green and stalkish, however you could taste it had prospects. The tannins have settled down and let the fruit come through and the secondary characters develop. With plum and berry leading the way it gives way to cocoa, coffee and cedar with a savoury leather undertone and an oaky backbone. There is still a hint of stalk which I hope will vanish. Overall sleek character with low alcohol and acid with powdery tannins.
