January 27, 2022 - La Tablee: Bonneau retrospective (Mercerie): The berries just jump out of the glass here. Again it's a bigger style of wine. You can taste a bit of the alcohol. But there's also a certain refinement to it. Interesting juxtaposition.

    Consistent with previous bottle.

November 21, 2020 - Large brick rim and light dark red center.
First glass is a little messy, both on palate and nose and showing some oxidation. Then with air, it became fresher and more precise. Figs, thyme, balsamic, dark fruits. Resolved tannins, impression of lightness despite the ripeness and stewy fruits. Was best after 1.5 in the decanter.

December 26, 2019 - very dark ruby red with slight bricking at the edge;30 min decant(too short I bet); nose of brambles(underbrush), blackberries, black cherries, nail polish, polish blew off later, then dark chocolate notes; dried cherry fruit, black plums; prominent dusty tannins which persisted to the end; overall still a delicious wine but it's slipping over the hill

August 30, 2009 - Garnet red with brick red edges;nose of tart red cherries/red currents, white pepper, iron( fresh blood smell); huge white pepper flavor/sensation is first on the palate followed by tart cherry, under ripe red raspberry flavors, med full body-more than color would suggest, well balanced fruit, soft tannin and acidity; med finish. A bench mark CdP in it's prime.
