December 28, 2022 - Deep dark reddish brick in color. Ripe black cherry, plums, licorice, leather and spice on the nose. The palate shows ripe prunes, black licorice, medium acidity, firm tannins and a medium finish.

August 24, 2019 - Popped and poured at a restaurant. Menthol and pipe tobacco on the nose. Medium bodied and a medium-long finish. Tannins still pronounced. Early in it’s drinking window. Paired well with food.

October 4, 2016 - Great acid/tannin balance with lots of cherry and spice on the nose. Taste starts out with a nice, little bite, and then glides into a very smooth fruit middle, followed by a very long graceful, even finish. An excellent bottle of Barolo.

November 30, 2014 - I was not expecting much based on the other ratings by CT members; however, I was quite pleasantly surprised by this wine. It has beautiful fruit and spice on the nose, and the palate is initiates with a fresh dollop of fruit and acid, followed in the mid by a very smooth, integrated richness, and then finishes very long with silky tannins in balance with the rest of the wine and lingers on and on.

August 4, 2013 - Lighter than expected red/brown in color, transparent. Nose of red berries, fresh tar, hint of orange, cut flowers. On the palate - cherries, spices, still notable tannins and a refreshing acidity. Very nice old school Barolo. Delicious on day one - expecting improvement for day 2.
