October 6, 2023 - This bottle was singing for a 22 year old bottle with little signs of slowing down. Darker and more fruit forward than I expected for a mature Caymus made before the overblown milkshake era took over at this winery over the past 8-10 years. nice backbone of tannins and acid. Some spiciness and oak on the finish. Held up well over 2+ days.

September 15, 2023 - I expected this wine to be way past, but it was still excellent. Great body and decent complexity. Since I thought it was going to be a little on the lighter side, I put it upfront in the meal and had with charcuterie and cheese, and it worked really well even into some of the mid courses. Note that these bottles were stored extremely well.
