January 15, 2018 - Bottle, fill and cork all looked good and, with the reviews here, I was looking forward to this. But this tasted tired and well past it's prime. Not a drainpour bot not very enjoyable either. Winebid purchase so who knows what it's been through?

August 21, 2017 - This magnum of Jordan's 1984 Cabernet is still showing very impressively. The color is a soft, deep garnet. Very smooth, but with just a touch of acidity. Aromas of vanilla, leather, red fruit. Tastes of strawberry, cedar, red dirt reminiscent of Rutherford, CA, Cabernets. Still has a very nice finish.

    December 31, 2013 - 12/31/2013 Tasting: Blind tasting of ’74 Rutherford cab (95), 84’ Jordan cab (88), ‘95 Paradis-Casseuil (82), ’81 Leoville-Las Cases (84), ’90 Leoville-Las Cases (95), 2010 Boekenhoutskloof cab (87), 2000 Faustino I Gran Reserva (85). My favorites: ’90 Leoville and Rutherford. My least favored: ’81 Leoville, Paradis, Faustino. Correctly identified: Faustino, ’90 Leoville, Boeken, ’81 Leoville.
Notes: "different bouquet, moderate fruit, guess Paradis"

September 7, 2013 - Old & Rare CA Cabs: Earthy leather, clay minerality, sous-bois with a hint of spciy clove/christmas orange; good medium sweet impressions, light strawberry-earth-leaf components; tannins almost gone, good acidity, balanced, not big at all, but has a nice juicy tang in the finish. Quite nice. 90-91

    August 23, 2011 - Opened after the brutal '85 Duckhorn (82 pts).
The cork on the Jordan was practically PERFECT. It could have been an '04 - honestly.
This bottle showed pleasant strawberry compote aromas with seeds n all.
A little green stem, cinnamon gum and light spice. Feminine at this ripe age.
The palate is light and really billowy which hits the tongue with finesse.
Thinner mid palate but still a touch of grip on the back end. All one could ask for in a 25+ year old wine.
