January 8, 2014 - I bought a couple of cases when it first hit the market and used as Xmas gifts to my employees. I have loved this winery since my first visit in 1990's. I had laid away one of the bottles and opened this afternoon, a chilly winter's day in Texas. It still has a lingering Granny Smith Apple taste, slightly acid but reminiscent of its first taste these many years ago. It has aged well.

June 6, 2010 - Brook - Thanks for making this great example of a great Gewurztraminer. You and I were seated next to each other on a plane in the early 80's. (Your wife and I attended the same school in England, and you were on your way to France to receive an award for this very wine.) I buy every bottle of this that I find.

November 15, 2009 - Bought this on sale, and wish I could find more. An excellent example of Firestone's origin - even if you don't typically drink the sweet varietals, you'll most likely enjoy this one. Savor with spicy food for best results. $13 - 15 per bottle, great value - I'll be hunting more of this wine down. Drink soon, or lay down for a few years - either way you won't be disappointed.

June 16, 2009 - Gold yellow color with honeysuckle nose. Grapefruit with some pepper and soap on palate. Nice.

December 21, 2008 - Very fruity wine. The kind some would die for. Not me though. I thought it had too much citric fruit on the palate. Acidity is good, but not very well balanced. It is kind of overpowering towards the ends. Having said that, I still think it is a great wine for its price. It goes well with light meats, or vegetarian dishes.

November 14, 2008 - Found this a bit simple, and a little too sweet with decent but not balancing acidity. There's a touch of soapiness toward the finish. Not really a lot of fruit. At the price, it's not bad, but impossible to get excited about. 82-83

November 3, 2008 - Nice new label. Not as dramatic as one might expect but not bad at all for $13. But also not really all that much.
