January 28, 2018 - After finding a bottle in one of my wine frigs, I was shocked that the drinking window ended in 2013. I opened it and let it breath for a day. Upon pouring the color was a medium darkish red. The first taste was very smooth and it showed a medium bodied wine. I tasted more red fruit than dark and it was not a fruit bomb. I was totally shocked on how nice it was. Last call, drink up if you have any!!

May 24, 2012 - Earth and almost menthol/camphor on the nose. Deep dark fruitiness on the palate, nice chewy tannins. Rich and powerful, and still quite good. Sorry to say this was my last bottle!

November 24, 2011 - Decanted (but not Vinturi'd.) Extremely dark, more prominent legs than I've seen on any wine in a while. Feels like it could've used the Vinturi, or a much longer sit in the decanter, because while I'm enjoying this wine a lot, it nevertheless feels like there's still more lurking in there. Definitely tastes like it's still not on the serious downslope of its drinkability.

August 20, 2009 - Very dark, dense and viscous violet, garnet red. There is no way you can see through this wine. Awesome nose of freshness, terroir, and dark fruits. Wild berries come to mind. Very viscous and syrupy on the palate, full bodied, great intensity of fruit, measurable length; nonetheless, tainted and flawed by unpleasant green tannins, very prominent and long green tannins. Up to almost three quarters of the palate, this wine shows a nice combination of bright red berries and dark cherries, and dark chocolate and tobacco nuances, but the finish is heavy, and far from harmonious, leaving you with very sour grapefruit sensations, like coming from the white membrane of a webby grapefruit, which makes me thing of abundant green parts of the clusters leaving a heavy load of green tannins behind. By all means, pair it with a fatty t-bone steak or New York Strip, or pork chops.
