Community Tasting Notes 3

July 12, 2018 - Second of two bottles. Hard to imagine a better village level red Burg. Very balanced tannins, acidity, and fruit, with some nice appellation nuances. Solid all the way through.

July 24, 2015 - PnVnD. Some mild initial funk blew off after about an hour in the decanter. Tart cherries, cranberries, mushrooms, and vanilla are things that come to mind, writing this the next day. Quite delicious, and still going strong 4 hours later. Moderate tannins and food-friendly acidity, but very silky and smooth. This is ready to drink, but will keep for many more years. Wish that I could keep my one remaining bottle of this for 10 more years to see what this becomes, but I know that I'll drink it soon, given its pleasure quotient right now.

  • Riezin Likes this wine:

January 1, 2013 - Nat cork. A floral and cherry accented nose. Came across as tight and youthful, became more accessible and expressive with time and air. Gave up flavors of sour cherry, graphite, and earth.
