January 7, 2022 - Medium-deep golden yellow in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of peaches, orange marmalade, lemon & apricots with lovely floral overtones of honeysuckle & spices, honey, caramel, minerals & a hint of vanilla. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, lush, ripe sweet fruit flavors of peaches, apricots, apples, lemon & orange zest with honey, spices, caramel, minerals & a hint of vanilla. Long lingering sweet finish. Drinks quite well at present & although at 42 years of age it may be at or quite close to its peak of development, it should hold onto this present plateau for a few additional years although any further development may be minimal.

June 4, 2016 - De Fargues vertical + Nopa (Sense, Nopa): Sweet tomato development (spaghetti-o’s?). Savory and bright, but a bit vegetal for me.

June 4, 2016 - Chateau de Fargues Vertical; 6/1/2016-6/4/2016 (Sens, San Francisco): Orange, burnt caramel, aromatic nose; palate is full bodied, wonderful balance between fruit and acidity, only slight sweetness remaining; finish is long. This is very nice. 93

March 1, 2014 - Elegant and light on the palate - especially for Sauternes. Complex with notes of baking spice, asian spice, lemon curd, and granny smith apple. This is in the zone right now.

November 15, 2013 - Lovely expression of Sauternes. Still seems youthful to my palate with room for further upside with time in the cellar.
