December 31, 2020 - No formal notes. Served warmer than I normally would, however this doesn't appear to be to the wine's detriment; this bottle showed better than the previous couple.
Screwcap. Berries, toasty Cedar, plum, cherry, five spice. Creamy, warm fruit.
Balance en pointe. Showing some developmental complexity but the fruit is still youthful.

June 29, 2019 - Perfectly in the drinking window. Lovely soft tannins, berry fruit, balanced and quite long. Delicious

December 18, 2018 - It finished with a high level of acid and tannin. It had lost it’s fruit and was more savoury. Maybe more age will help.I kept it in the fridge for 24 hours & then let it air for 2 hours. I was disappointed that it did not seem to improve. I have a sense that it is flat. Maybe it is past it’s best.

March 28, 2018 - Smells of Shiraz, but doesn't have the palate of Shiraz unless it's cool climate. Blackberry, peanut brittle, dark earth and cherry spice and all things nice. Some black pepper, linear strong.

March 16, 2018 - Double decanted. Musk, Violet. Tight core of black fruits reluctant to unfurl despite 11 years of age. Charcoal like tannins and good length. Clearly a hot vintage yet the wine is balanced and capable of improving further. From 2021 for me.

June 7, 2016 - No formal notes. Subdued, meaty nose. Dark spicy flavours emerge with air. Combines elegance with power. Good value for money. Time to drink.

May 6, 2016 - So fresh and vibrant. Medium bodied, gooseberries, musk, pastels, woodsmoke. Licorice on the finish. Supported by coarse grained tannins suggesting more time in bottle. No hint of any secondary development. Next bottle in 2019 for me. 94+

February 27, 2016 - Lovely subtle-spice on the nose. Cherry/berry fruits and long follow through. In a great spot but not in danger of falling over either.

September 4, 2015 - Well balanced elegant wine. White pepper on nose and integrated acid/tannin. Drinking very nicely now.

    August 24, 2015 - Dark red-crimson, starting to brick.

Meaty, spicy, earthy cool climate shiraz with some noticeable VA upon opening. Perfume leaps from the glass with tobacco, raspberry, jam, coffee, 5 spice, and mint.

Still relatively primary in the mouth, with bright red berries, pan juices, and graphite, but some slight leathery complexity is building in the background. Fine, but persistent tannin. Medium length.

Opinion: Takes 30+ minutes and a lot of swirling to open up and blow off the VA. Not hugely exciting, but solid offering. Becomes a bit thin after a couple of hours airing.
