September 21, 2023 - 16 years of cellaring is probably too much! Still tasty but I think I would have enjoyed it more earlier. Guessing 8-10 years.

April 14, 2023 - This is now an incredibly evolved wine. It evokes so much of the character of its big brother with bottle age. It's smooth and seamless with barely any edge to it, from tannin or anything else. There's a decent level of intensity too, it's in no way dilute. If you wanted to demonstrate how Rhone wines evolve, this is text book.

December 24, 2022 - Brick red with brownish hues. Decanted for 20 min. On the palette it’s very balanced with lots of finesse. The tannins and oak are both well integrated with a touch of grippiness. Notes of raspberries, strawberries, earth and terroir. With secondary flavours of wafers. It feels lighter than the last bottle I had and reminds me of a burgundy. Fascinating how this has evolved and transformed from a more fruit driven rhone into one with so much more refinement. We are really enjoying this one. My final bottle of 6 bought in 2010 – I’ve been loving for the past 12 years. Next up will be its big brother.
