July 5, 2007 - cheese, butter (malo), nuts, nettles, slight stone fruit, lime. There are so many good Aussie and French Chardonnays in this price bracket that it really needs to stand up for itself a bit more. Poor Angus thinks this is the best chardonnay in New Zealand - he's either an idiot or it's a back handed compliment (as in there are no good chardonnays in New Zealand and this indifferent mess of flavours is the best that they can do!) Not for me.
