February 19, 2021 - nach den enttäuschenden Leo-Barton 07 und 04 der schönste des Abends.
App-typ fein, feminin, allerdings nicht filigran .erstaunlich jung

July 27, 2018 - The bottle was in perfect condition - excellent fill level and cork. Nicely evolved in colour. Spices, tobacco, mushrooms, undergrowth with lovely sweetness on the nose. On the palate a little thin and linear with overall decent balance. Just lacking a bit of fruit, the acidity is sticking out and the tannins are slightly drying towards the finish. But pretty well integrated still. Nice length. Drink up. 88-90

May 7, 2017 - Cork has turned to sawdust; I had to decant through cheesecloth. This was the worst of the 6 bottles in terms of cork condition, and this bottle is not showing well after the 1st 15 minutes. After an hour in the decanter, there are nice hoisin and mint notes, but overall a little tired.

November 13, 2016 - I'd almost forgotten how enjoyable Bordeaux can be, even if I will never love it as much as Barolo, Burgundy and Northern Rhone. Prerhaps at the beginning of a slow decline, this wine boasts lovely mature notes of cedar, tobacco, mint and what I can only describe as perfectly mature Cabernet. The tannins are silky and unobtrusive, and it just drinks beautifully. More sublime than the 83 Margaux I had earlier this year, albeit less complex and with less upside (the Margaux has not yet peaked in my opinion). I don't think this wine will get any better, so I will finish the rest of mine in the next six months.
