  April 24, 2015 - A private dinner (Restaurant De Nederlanden *, Vreeland, NL): A very individualistic wine, mulled strawberries and black cherries, Indian spices and gin on the intense and deep nose; quite powerful but transparent on the palate, roses from the stalks, bright and energetic, ripe but firm tannins from the skins, glossy black fruit, wonderful energy and drive; very good length, cranberries. A marvel.

  May 14, 2009 - Had this wine at Zuni cafe in SF from the half-bottle. It was absolutely delicious and perfect with the food. Queen anne's cherry, and fresh raspberry along with sweet earth and a touch of dried baking spices on the nose. Taught, elegant, and juice, with a trace of refreshing grippy tannin on the back end. This was able to complement the sand-dabs and stand up to the pork-chop-- a really satisfying food wine and bloody cheap for what it offered.
