September 22, 2014 - Seems to be on the decline. Still quite drinkable, however. Taste of cherries with cola, but more muddled than I recall.
May 18, 2011 - Always a reliable wine in its price range. Cherry cola notes with earthy undertones. Med bodied without alot of depth but a very pleasant bottle of wine.
February 6, 2011 - great high toned fruit and spice fragrant nose upon opening, but it gradually fades away, leaving a not very expressive spice and earth overtones on top of restrained fruit without much size, finish or length. This would have been improved by blending in with a another pinot having more size and character on the palate.
January 3, 2011 - A touch of earth, on the dry side, some burnt toast on the nose. Good, not great. I'm not a fruitbomb guy, but this seemed to be lacking in fruit all around, and could maybe have used a touch more acidity.
July 27, 2010 - Acid is fading, dark powdery chocolate cherry forest floor nose. Nice balance has arrived in this bottle.
April 4, 2010 - Sone fruit and acidity to begin with, but with a complex velvety finish. Missing some bass notes, and could be a bit softer - but close!
January 19, 2010 - Ruby with tannish tinges at the edges. Pleasant nose. Lighter style showing cranberry with pepper. Nice sense of ground. Short on the finish.
May 1, 2009 - Light bodied, a touch acidic, with cranberry dominant, but some nice earthy flavors in the mid-palate.
March 25, 2009 - Below note is very much on track -- excellent nose is promising but the taste doesn't follow through. Seems hotter than the 13% suggests. At $21 I'd be ambivalent, at the $31 I paid I want to assign someone blame. I'll try it again in a year.
December 15, 2008 - Light but with an acidic finish. I finished the bottle the next night and the flavors had come together and relaxed a bit. It's too young. From the nose and initial flavors it seems like the wine has potential. It will probably get better with a year in the cooler.
