February 10, 2019 - I fear that at least my bottle is past due.
This feels like a big grenache that's running out of steam and the alcohol's taking over. Drank this by itself over the course of a couple hours. I can imagine that this could have been a lot more appealing when it was younger and the fruit was able to buffer more. It just wasn't able to for this bottle.

January 1, 2019 - A nice, well made wine but not the depth or complexity I expected. Drink now.

February 14, 2018 - Nose is saline, cured meats, earth, with a red fruit note. Palate is savory notes of meat, red fruits, with a minerality that lingers on.

January 28, 2018 - May have waited too long to open. Very earthy, peppery/spicy, not consistent with the higher ratings I've read. Not bad, but not a memorable bottle either. Expected more.

November 20, 2017 - Vodka martini disguised as a Grenache. Seriously intense olive brine, pimento and salted meat bouquet. Noticeable wood and roasted nuts. After some time James Bond settles down to give way to unusual yeast meets dried flower petals. Nose shows little fruit, but man do I like it. Palate carries forward the first impression with good acid and decent, medium finish.

(Cayuse Vineyards God Only Knows Grenache Armada Vineyard Bottle Sample Walla Walla Valley) Nose marked by floral notes along with lots and lots of mineral aromas and streaky fruit. Richly textured across the palate with flavors of bloody roast beef and umami. 100% Grenache. 15.2% alcohol. To be released in 2010.
