    December 26, 2021 - Definitely aged, definitely dry, went better with food than without, meaning I struggled to put it in my mouthwithout first taking a bite of beef roast. Charming and tertiary qualities, I'll throw it a bone and give it 90 because it's Christmas.

    February 18, 2018 - Leather, earth, spiced cherry, and a touch of VA, though not off-putting. Tannins still profound. Enjoyable, though not a standout at a tasting of 10 aged Barolos.

    February 18, 2018 - Monthly Tasting Group: Barolo & Barbaresco (Nolo's Kitchen, Mpls): Medium red color. Decanted for 2 hours, drank 1 glass over 90 minutes plus. The nose is pretty light, there is some leather, subtle earth and that builds a bit, wood spice, red fruit. The palate has a lot of acid, soil, tangy cherry, mineral, the tannins pick up grip as this sits, some sharpness to the back end that seems woody.

    March 6, 2017 - Quite mature and complex, and completely unsatisfying. High acid requires food, but then the complexity disappears with the food. Italian wines continue befuddle me.

    October 27, 2016 - Cherry earth and loads of tar on the nose and palate! structured tanin acid and fruit. Really coming into it own, maybe a couple more years for the tannin to subside. Real old world and must drink with food.
