July 22, 2016 - Nice light golden color. Wine is at/near the its peak. Well balanced and nice mature fruit flavors. A bit bitter if too cold but at a bit higher than normal 65 degrees this wine shows. Medium body and nice light sweetness with no bitter edge and smooth and luscious but light butter.
This shows what saving a well made wine can be with cared cellaring

October 12, 2009 - Not bad. Decent oak, which overpowers a little of the fruit - but a pretty good everyday white

July 22, 2009 - Very true to Chalone grown fruit despite being owned by others. A little touch on the funky side and all in all not that well made. I wish someone who knows what they are doing would work with this fruit.

July 2, 2009 - Popped and poured for my mom. Standard 20$ Cali Chardonnay traits but with out of balance acids and some glaring imperfections in the finish. Not good, drinkable but I will never buy it again. There is better Cali Chardonnays out there for your twenty bones.
