May 8, 2022 - 1hr decant. Heady nose of plum, espresso, leather. Palate is harmonious until a little alcoholic heat shows in the finish. Copious but fairly powdery tannins. Decent complexity. Overall satisfying, not as profound as the nose would lead you to believe but tasty nonetheless. Good value and fully mature.

June 7, 2021 - Blind tasting of high-end cab. ‘05 Meteor placed first in front of ‘02 Montelena, ‘05 Kapscandy, and 2010 & 2011 Quill. Drinking beautifully right now, notes of dark chocolate and tobacco.

July 19, 2020 - Best bottle yet, sadly the last. Black cherry, currant, leather. Fully integrated tannins. No heat. Light acid but enough to balance. Smooth and peaked. Drink now. Paired with blue cheese burger. Outstanding.

Dark chocolate. Black cherry. Leather. Slight smoke. Oak is nice, not overly present. Rounded wine... nose to finish an excellent pour. Tannins are just night. Drink now! Hard to see this improving.1 person found this helpful Comment -
