October 22, 2022 - Had side-by-side with the 2000 which were purchase together and both the last of their case.
The '99 has held up very well. I could see another couple years out of it. Very impressive.
June 22, 2022 - As before. Not a wow! wine but very good.
March 6, 2022 - A nice Chianti Classico riserva. Still some good dark fruit in this. A touch of licorice with balanced acidity. Medium to full bodied. I would buy this again.
May 8, 2011 - 1999 Brunello Blind Tasting; 5/8/2011-5/9/2011 (Tom's House, Palo Alto): A funky nose with some mushroom, vegetal components. Lovely wine with balanced ripe palate, perhaps tiring a little bit but drinking well now. My #2/8 of the night.

October 17, 2009 - Encore opaque, le vin est encore tout jeune. Magnifique nez de cerise, de violettes, de cuir et de torréfaction. La bouche est tendu, corsée, fraîche et ferme. Le corps est plein sur le noyau de cerise et la finale est moyennement longue sur des arômes de fruits rouges. Surprenant et franchement savoureux.
October 15, 2005 - Dark ruby colour with black flecks. Aromas of black cherry, black plums, cocoa, licorice, and dried flowers. Medium-full bodied, fresh tasting, but with resolved tannins. Lovely fruit - black cherry, black plums, earth and flower replays. Moderate-long finish, 40s, with black cherry and black plums. Lovely Chianti.

January 28, 2005 - Dark ruby colour. Aromas of black cherry, earth, plums, chocolate, black licorice, blackberry. Medium-full bodied with black cherry and blackberry replays. Moderate-long finish, 30-35s, with black cherry and spice. Needs another year or two.
November 13, 2004 - [Stromboli: Sicilian] Ruby-red color. Plum, BBQ, spice. Definitely not one of the 75 best wines in the world as per the Spectator; better values at this price.
