October 2, 2008 - Loire Trip (with stops in Beaujolais and the Cote Chalonnaise); 10/2/2008-10/5/2008: Medium ruby red. Perfumed with exhaust and ephemeral toast, as well as some mineral. Extracted, with charcoal/tobacco-leaning flavors. No real smokiness, just a dry/burned sort of profile. No great length.
