July 18, 2021 - Another very good bottle after a couple of bottles I didn't care for a few years ago. This was rich, ripe, and smooth/silky in an old-Bordeaux way, Great balance, with plum, cassis and earthy flavors. Did not have the sharp acidity of a bottle just a week ago.

July 10, 2021 - I did not like my first bottle about five years ago - it was thin, tight and lean - so I put the remaining bottles out of the way in the cellar and just noticed them again. Showing some age in the tea-colored meniscus, but doesn't taste old. Big nose of ripe, dark fruit and earth. Same flavors on the palate with a medium-full body and a lush, smooth texture. At the same time, it still has some sharp acidity remaining which made it a bit odd with all the ripe, rich fruit.

January 17, 2021 - Quite nice, better than I expected based on online reviews. Firm chewy tannins on opening, softened over several hours. nice balance and dark fruit with a soft mouthfeel and long finish. Kept getting better as it opened up over 3 hours, unfortunately it was consumed before I could appreciate further development. This is drinking very well now but still has some life in it. Great value

December 23, 2020 - This wine has really aged well! Nose is plummy fruit and cigar box, flavors are raspberry and plum and dark cherry. Mouthful is silk.

July 16, 2020 - Soft tannins that mellow on second day. Distinct black cherry and plum on the palate. Needs some decant, but this is ready to go.

March 26, 2020 - Decanted for sediment. Time really did well for this bottle. Mature nose of tobacco leaf, some earthy, leafy green notes, a bit of black plum and black cherry and some cedar coming through. Very nice. Still has some plum and black cherry fruit left on the palate for sure but also some nice forest floor type flavors and leather and tobacco. Medium acid and tannins mostly resolved. Really lovely wine at this stage. Paired very well with a Languedoc beef stew.

November 14, 2019 - Wow, after decanting for about two hours, the fruit flavors are just bursting from the glass--plum and black cherries with a subtle mintiness. There's an undeniable delicious factor here. A little bit of oaky vanilla, too, perhaps. I thought that the previous bottle (about a year and a half ago) was a great 89-point wine, but this bottle has stepped up big time.

September 27, 2019 - Fine middle of the road wine. Nothing special but worth drinking or giving away.
