November 6, 2023 - Despite less than ideal storage conditions, this is drinking quite well right now.

April 14, 2022 - Guys Night - Anything Goes Blind!: Decanted for 4 hours - served double blind to others (this was my wine, so I knew what it was). What can I say about this wine I have not already said....for me, this is hands down the best Malbec I have ever had and one of the best wines, period. For my palate, it shows plenty of fruit and tertiary goodness. It is still drinking quite young (and will doubtlessly improve, but this was my last bottle, and I have no will power!
Not quite to the level as previous bottles, but still quite tasty! Nose is perfumed and palate shows lots of dark fruit, chocolate and sweet tobacco, with some earthiness, tar and leather notes, all framed in sweet, toasty oak. Both hedonistic and complex, this is an awesome wine for my palate.I definitely enjoyed this wine more than others, but as the saying goes....."Different strokes for different folks!" 96 for me tonight, and part of me wishes I had saved this bottle for a few years down the road!2 people found this helpful Comments (2) -

April 14, 2022 - Guys night - Anything goes: I lost my notes, but this was one of the fruitiest wines I've ever had. Bordering on jammy but not quite, this is not my kind of wine, although its obviously well made, or at least made with intention. Crazy.

April 14, 2022 - Guy's Night: Anything Goes Double Blind (Jason P's, St. Paul, MN): Very dark red/purple color. Decanted for 4 hours. Drank a glass plus double blind over 2 hours. This is massive, filled with creme de cassis, blackberry jam, tar, touches of earth. The palate is full bodied and extracted, it adds in plenty of oak, some fresh herbs, and spice.

October 28, 2021 - Showcase your palate; 10/26/2021-10/28/2021 (zoom): This is an incredibly luscious and decadent wine. On the nose it had that sweet molasses aroma, I almost thought amarone. But on the palate big blue and black fruits, spices, chocolate, so big and round in the mouth. I was almost eating this wine. The strangest Malbec I have ever had, but loved it!
This was Jason's number 2, a complete contrast from his first wine--definitely showing the extremes of his palate!2 people found this helpful Comments (1)
