January 9, 2020 - Dinner w/work colleagues - Gooseftoot, corkage friendly, outstanding food & pairings (Goosefoot - Chicago): Last bottle of the evening, slow oxed 2. hours (a mut for this), decanted at the restaurant.

Largely consistent with notes from 2017:"Dark purple/ruby color. The (post decant) nose jumped out of the glass, dark fruits, spices, floral notes and minerals. Rich palate of dark cherry, blackberry, licorice, baking spice, floral notes. Sweet on the mid palate with smoke and minerals through the finish. A lot of the "classic Grenache" flavors but coming through, more extracted. Very long and layered finish."

Finish continues to be impressive with this wine, with secondary flavors of baking spice and floral notes. Still in a great spot, well stored bottles have a ways to go but worth checking in on this now. WOTN for a few in the crowd

November 28, 2019 - Gracefully aging lady of Spain show well. A deep garnet quaff with notes of blackberry and violets. The wine really is well crafted with multi layer flavor profiles as it moves across your palate. First a jammy dark fruitiness is dominant but quickly yields to cherry tart with a coffee finish.

November 15, 2019 - This has only gotten better! Dark as sin and as decadent as a walk down Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras.
Still fruit forward after all these years. Definitely a new world wine.

July 20, 2019 - Very nice wine! Rich and sumptuous, fruity and dense. Long finish.

July 14, 2019 - Consumed at Morcilla. Excellent wine without the pedigree, so not necessarily a crowd pleaser
Needs to breathe and breathe. Dense, full-bodied wine with rich thick dark fruit. Not quite chewy. Very long finish.
