February 5, 2011 - Aromas of apple juice and pear skin. I like the weight to the mouthfeel. Apples, a little spice, and some tropical fruit on the palate. Zingy acidity on the finish makes this refreshing. A bit of heat does come through. This is better than many chards from cali for $12, but in the end it good, but not exciting or unique. ($12)

January 6, 2010 - Light golden color. Nose: ripe peach/pineapple, lemon/lime gumdrops, a little butterscotch, and some mineral underpinnings. Palate: white peach, Asian pear, orange peel, white pepper, and just a tiny hint of toast and butter. Very attractive underlying minerality (flinty and a touch metallic). A fresh wooden element appears at the end (like a toothpick). Solid acidity, though it could use a little more. Very good length. Nice, clean Chardonnay. Good value.

July 26, 2009 - Sometimes you see something, or hear something, or read something that just leaves you slack jawed in wonderment. That was exactly my feeling when I read a review of Edward Tufte’s book, Beautiful Evidence. Those two words, beautiful evidence, are the best description of wine as the physical embodiment of the vintners vision and the vintners skill as I have ever heard. This sentence from the book is one that I wish more vintners would take to heart. “Making an evidence presentation is a moral act as well as an intellectual activity.” Perhaps if vintners regarding wine making as a moral activity there would be a far greater number of interesting wines.

While the grapes may have been organically grown, there was definitely a slight industrial smell and taste to the wine, a smell of tanks and hoses. Pleasant fresh Chardonnay flavors. Not much in the way of oak. Clean and just a quarter step away from being crisp. The kind of Chardonnay that you would find in a domestic white wine flight at a mid-level wine bar.

June 26, 2009 - Unexceptional, but clear and bright. Citrus, no oak, green apple, unripe fruit. Not worth the very low price.

December 11, 2008 - Seemingly unoaked this shows plastic-y notes of apple and melon with mouthwatering acidity and a clean finish.
