September 17, 2023 - This is top ten bottle of white wine I have had in my wine journey. The definition of why Burgundy is king. 33 years old and this bottle was still singing. Acidity on the front end with the balanced mouthfeel that leaves you just dying for more. We were nervous about the quality with the pre-ox issues in Burgundy, and this one held up to the test, in a true mistress style of Burgundy! We had the pleasure of bringing this with us to Single Thread in Healdsburg and it ended up being the wine of the night, if that says anything.

October 11, 2018 - Last of 12, pnp, perfect cork and level, previous bottles drunk between 99 and 09 fine or better and latterly very fine - light yellow, unctuous; spellbinding bouquet, rich honeysuckle, pear, lemon, chalky minerality; medium/full, long, very persistent and concentrated, oily, grand cru weight and complexity, sweetish and weighty mid palate, but dry on exit with perfect acidity to bring balance, plenty of life and energy, deeply impressive. VF+ (19)…….best bottle at 28!

October 29, 2016 - Same bottle as Adrian and Salil. Beautiful color. Nice mature notes on the nose. Initially a little tight, but really quite giving with just a little swirling. Has a roundness I associate with Folatieres without being fat, however with prolonged tim in the glass it did become a bit flabby--a bit surprising to me as the acid was so well balanced earlier.

October 29, 2016 - Beautiful wine - very plush and ripe on the palate with layers of rich pear and white fruited flavours, accented by vanilla cream, herbs, and faint roasted hazelnut notes. The palate presence is remarkable - round and polished with an almost glossy texture, but never feeling heavy or out of balance. Between this and the Roulot the previous night, I think I need to drink more white Burg. (Wallet: :( )

October 29, 2016 - Dinner at Recess (Indianapolis, IN): It's a sad reminder of an age gone by, when white Burgundy could be aged like this (I had a bit of a soliloquy about how modern white Burgundy will likely not age like this). A little bit of cream on the palate, as well as tons of fleshy fruit. Very rich and full-bodied, but then with air, this does seem to feel a little bit flabby, with a touch of caramel at the back end.

November 16, 2011 - Light golden. Honeyed with faint florality. Full bodied, lush with some remaining citrus. On its last leg.
