May 10, 2021 - niveau parfait, bouchon imbibé aux 2/3

November 20, 2017 - Outstanding wine. Slight signs of age. Very complex with blackcurrant, but also clear tertiary aroma’s. Excellent length. A very good wine for this difficult vintage. Would recommend drinking in the coming years.

May 31, 2017 - Dark garnet/magenta even though it's 26 years old! No signs of aging, colour wise maybe because it's a half bottle. Initial nose is plums and dark cherries and then earthy mushrooms all enveloped in vanilla and spice. After an hour, the nose reveals red cherries and the spice retreats but the umami mushroom smells remain. Texture is quite velvety and tannins are still present. Drinking very beautifully now though I enjoy the nose more than the taste. This was a fruit bomb.

April 15, 2017 - I bought a case back in 1988 and had consumed 10 bottles over two decades, all prematurely. This was my last bottle and it was utterly magnificent, absolutely at its peak, but with many years ahead. Rich blackcurrant, bacl plums, leather, polish, cedar, savoury forest floor, cinnamon, a smorgasbord of flavours and an eternal finish. Tasted alongside a Pichon Lalande 1982, which was all but swallowed up. I must now find the money for some more...
