November 26, 2022 - On opening a very deep but “hot” wine (14.4% alc). After 2 hours open changed significantly to reveal more nuanced flavors and brightness and softer flavors. A little hot overall, though… not as balanced as the usual Cadence wine.

December 2, 2021 - Dark and plummy, a little bit of funk, rich, balanced, tannins fully resolved.

September 24, 2020 - A significant wine experience. PNP - full bodied intense on open, complete, w/ flavor profile More in line with Futurist note below. Calmed down after an hour and began presenting considerable perfume amplifying an already great experience. Ben has always suggested longer term aging - it sure worked here. June 27, 2020 - My TN won’t do justice to this wine. However, because it is supposed to be “past its window,” I thought I post. This is drinking well. Drink now, but it is really good. Great balance; fruit, smooth, soft. I usually prefer the Ciel du Cheval, but this is really good right now. had with a Flannery ribeye.

May 27, 2018 - This had improved dramatically since I last had it. The tannins had softened leaving behind a beautiful and balanced mélange of red and black fruit. The purity of the fruit was compelling.

August 15, 2015 - 2nd corked Cadence in 2 weeks. My luck with this producer has been pretty poor- I want to like this winery, but with this track record I can't. I have 1 bottle left. Will reach out to this producer.
All have been bought through Auction or Retail.

October 11, 2014 - This is a 90 and might be upgraded to a higher score for the last 8oz. At first there was no fruit and all tannins. It was opened two hours before the first sip. After it had been open for 3-4 hours the balance, with good, dark fruit, was there. Tannins were still mouth drying at times. CT window ends in 2018...no way. This has 8 years, at minimum, left.

July 3, 2014 - Drinking very well! Lots of fruit left here. Tannins are smoothing nicely. Make sure to decant for at least half hour. Glad we still have 5!

January 1, 2014 - Cassis, blueberry cherry, anise, smoke. Had with beef provincial. Maybe better in 3 years when I have the next one.

November 2, 2013 - This was tasted after vinturi aeration and also a day later. It was a bit better the second day with bright red fruits but it does get a bit muddled and bitter on the finish. I do not know if it will acheive balance with further age. It is decent but not great.
