February 11, 2023 - Drank from Magnum at L'Antica De Michelle in Los Angeles. Nice leather library potpourri on the nose. Tannins nicely resolved, but still some interesting minty funk. Some ashy, black cherry & floral notes coming through. Very fun to try.

Still structured but softening and approachable, with a lovely gentle dried floral and sous-bois character emerging. I do prefer the refinements that show in more recent wines made by this cooperative, but this is a charmingly rustic wine that sings with the right food alongside.

April 13, 2022 - this has always been a dark fruited tannic beast, but was surprised how the tannins have softened, and the fruit still ample. There still is structure here. This was finally drinking great IMO. I really enjoyed this. I still have 3 bottles from my original purchase.
