March 16, 2019 - From MG. Very good - powerful yes but in good balance and ready to drink now.

December 6, 2017 - Purchased directly on release. Primarily made from Tinto Fino, a Tempranillo clone. A bottle just to show you that I am not just obsessed with Bordeaux wines (although this wine maker certain has a Bordeaux-like elegance to his wine making!)

This is still dark ruby and brooding. Love the nose on this- so much going on! Full of cherry, cassis, plum and spice. Ripe fruit but not over-the-top. Almost a creamy/mocca/coffee thing happening as well, complementing the rich, ripe and glycerin laden black fruit. Nice spicy licorice notes to remind you that you are drinking Spanish Tempranillo! Still really young and even though it is a full bodied and big wine it shows a surprising amount of finesse and elegance with fine tannins that are well integrated into the fruit. A lovely acidic uplift brings a fresh and satisfying finish to a great glass of wine.

Enjoy with a nicely seasoned medium-rare rib eye steak!

May 28, 2014 - Dark fruit with hints of mineral , wood and spices. Last bottle and will last several years , but we loved it young.
