December 31, 2021 - Absolutely benefitted from decanting. Our bottle had a significant amount of sediment, and the cork itself was dry and brittle. Garnet in color, with flavors of rich, deep black cherry and vanilla -- it paired beautifully with steak, potatoes, salad and sourdough to celebrate the transition to 2022.

April 27, 2020 - Hige brooding beast of a Cabernet!! Still needs decanting! Amazing wine!!

July 10, 2011 - Humongous dark cherry fruit with a hint of licorice, blueberry and some vanilla. Much better than the Erna Schein we drank with it at Tre Vigne.

January 23, 2010 - Definitely needs decanting. But opened up and softened. Very smooth. Had at a restaurant. But will definitely buy when I have a chance

September 21, 2009 - Popped and poured from a split. Very impressive bottle. Head and shoulders about the rest of Carter's lineup, which is no easy feat. Heavy amount of pencil lead on the nose. Initial entry on the palate reveals some oak, but its not overwhealming and fades through the midpalate and finish. Very restrained at this point, though more air may have caused to be more flamboyant. Good dark fruit, acidity and balance. Not cheap, but this is a rockstar and can command that price point.
