Community Tasting Notes 20

September 1, 2023 - This bottle rocked with its roasted plums, wet earth, herbs, dried flowers, tomato, and cigar box perfume. Silky, refined, and with alternating notes of sweet and tart, spicy, earthy, truffle-topped red berries and olives on the palate, this remains a nice treat. Drink from 2023-2030.

April 11, 2023 - Bottle and fill excellent, cork was wet but well seated. Color was slightly dull, but it improved considerably with decanting a few hours. This was a nice old Bordeaux, but not quite as good as prior bottles. Seems to be getting towards the end - drink up.

April 8, 2022 - Still going strong the wine kicks off with coffee grounds, roasted plums, herbs, dried flowers, cigar wrapper and a hint of tomato. Medium-bodied, sweet and tart on the palate and in the finish, which ends with a savory edge.

December 20, 2021 - Wow, this was in top shape for its age! Sweet topsoil, humus, mushroom, cherry, plum, menthol nose. The palate is quite rich, satiny, fresh tobacco, plenty of structure, and gravelly severity to it all. Improved with some air time and held easily over 3 hours. A monument!

December 17, 2021 - Wonderfully youthful wine with deep color, lively tannins, and a demeanor that could even be described as fresh. Delicious smoky fruit, and altogether astonishing presence.
