June 2, 2023 - An amazing wine that will be difficult to be bettered. This bottle was recorked at Leflaive last year from their remaining collection. So it has been checked and the new cork is made out Diam.
To taste a Leflaive at its peak condition is a privilege. Very golden reflecting its aged. A magical bouquet consisting apple, stone fruits, seashell and beeswax. The body is taunt but yet supple and light, never did it feel heavy. Honey, notes of white flowers all accentuated leading to an explosions of flavours at the finish, including creaminess and quince. Quite memorable.
Drink now to 2030 but not sure it will get much better.
February 18, 2023 - Pure citrus notes, quite quaffable.
February 12, 2023 - Softened down - walking int the more mature phase. I would drink these now.
October 23, 2022 - Chez Zim: slightly oxidized.
November 27, 2021 - Really outstanding, with wonderful remaining structure and intense extraction. I was very happy that this one did not suffer from premox like so many other Leflaive wines of this period. Wish I had more.
July 31, 2020 - Initially walnut and oak, but once it warms up notes of white peach and sour apple pops out. The wine unfortunately feels more advanced than it should be. I wouldn't say it's completely pre-mox'd and undrinkable, but it didn't show as it should. bummer :(
June 29, 2019 - 一开瓶几分钟后就封闭了，一点果味没有，以为cork了。放冰箱醒……醒……醒。2小时后终于盛开了，柠檬，花香，奶油太妃，淡淡的榛子坚果，淡淡的咸味，酸度坚挺。喝过的白葡萄酒里最高复杂度。干净透彻，极强的穿透力和尾韵，延迟1分钟后口中余味不散。表现完美
December 20, 2018 - Orange hue.
Oxidative zesty fragrance, orange blossom and honey.
Rich, zesty citrus, hint of orange. Not full oxi and definitely plenty of fruit but still a strong oxidative spicy character. Drinkable but past it’s best.
February 17, 2018 - Very advanced towards the dreaded urine colour with none of the attractive sugary element but plenty of the kero traces of age
November 18, 2017 - Wow! Lemon cest, Salt minerals, goes on and on. No sign of oxidation. Plenty of life ahead, best after two hours opened. 93 Now, maybe one or two points more after 5 years.
