September 30, 2019 - Delightful sage and saline on the nose, followed up by a puckering palate of red cherry, chamomile, and spicy herbs. Excellent! So glad this bottle is showing wonderfully, best one yet. This is Old School delicious.
August 2, 2019 - Mature and delicious. Nice mix of dried figs, cherries, and umami.
July 4, 2019 - Prunes on the nose - like a dry Pedro Ximenez. Plummy and spicy, tomato stalk, but compensating freshness. A little sweet (akin to a Zinfandel) but really very fine. Still lots of life left in the bottle I had.
March 3, 2019 - Terrific bottle of wine. Earthy, smoky, dark red cherries. Complex with a good long finish.
November 16, 2018 - From the same bottle tasted on 9/1/2018, Coravined. No change in the nose, which is still a little oxidized or something but the palate is still remarkably potent and fresh. Clearly towards the end of its peak of maturity, I'd recommend drinking this up over the next year or two.
September 1, 2018 - Definite stewed fruit on the nose, some oxidation maybe. immediately thinking bad bottle, but the palate is not bad and actually shows good concentration and depth. Having a hard time with the nose so going to move on and try this again another time.
September 1, 2017 - Excellent bottle. Herbal, olive infused, meaty, smoky. Has a particular intensity, and is drinking wonderfully right now.
April 21, 2017 - Nice nose, good fruit. Was expecting a more musty, aged wine but was pleasantly surprised at the lively fruit and long finish. Still has a number of years.
March 17, 2017 - Nice nose of red berries, bacon fat, nice but not very complex... Super concentrated sappy red cherries, loads of sappy tannins, very good lenght, great wine!
November 11, 2016 - Nice earthy nose. Ripe red and dark fruits, smooth texture, a bit of spiciness, with some remaining acidity and structure. A very good mature basic cuvee which should continue to drink well for at least a couple of more years.
