August 7, 2022 - Not much sign of ageing, I bought this ex cellar on release from domain and it has aged impeccably. Greengage and yellow stone fruits on the nose, butter and some toasted oak but completely integrated. Beautiful palate, bursts of citrus acidity combine with apple, red and green, and melon fruit. Great poise. Excellent finish, long, fresh, yet haunting. Kind of reminds of Dom Perignon in the great vintages with that ridiculously attractive fruit against a more serious backdrop of wet stones and searing acidity. More or less sums up why Chardonnay is so great. I paid 85 euros then and it looks like a steal in today's market. 96+, no hurry.
