May 5, 2015 - Drinking very well at the moment. Tannins have dissipated but still lots of fruit here and the terroir really comes out. Lingering finish. Wish I had more of this.
March 2, 2015 - Medium light body, long fine legs. Decanted for about 45mins. The nose is quite stylish with some nice development but plenty of fruit still. Just a hint of fine tannin, slightly creamy in texture and taste, just about enough acidity, I would say drink now but could quite well hold for longer
December 4, 2013 - Deep rich textured cherry-blackberry; smooth and elegant; great balance and smooth long finish.
June 23, 2013 - Sweet cherry nose; cherry and raisin; some heat; long tannic finish.
January 11, 2013 - Very nice and elegant, like the previous bottle. Starts out seeming more fruit driven, but with some air and time, evolves into a leaner, complex, Burgundian style.
December 23, 2012 - Elegant and very complex. Medium bodied, with red fruit, mushroom, earth, and spice notes. Bright acidity and a long finish. This just ot better and more interesting as it opened up. After an hour or so, it could have easily passed for a good Burgundy.
November 26, 2012 - The wine looks Ruby colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Raspberry, and Strawberry. Light toast.
The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Narrow texture. The wine finishes Medium.
June 8, 2012 - Light fruit on nose; earthy, acidic and light cherry-blackberry; harsh back end.
March 4, 2012 - Sadly it was the last bottle. Great fruit, smooth with a touch of spice.
December 21, 2010 - Central Otago Wine Trip December 2010; 12/20/2010-12/23/2010 (Central Otago, New Zealand): Made from only the 3 Dijon clones grown at amisfield. This has a lovely classic burgundy nose, getting a bit of bottle age now, full and concentrated, lovely mouthfeel, the palate is relatively linear, but it was so well defined that it didn't matter, ready now, but will keep for at least another 5 years, excellent.
