Community Tasting Notes 2

November 6, 2009 - Nose displays vanilla, herbs, tomato and a flinty note too. Later cola spices. Palate a bit astringent and to the more acidic side. Appears a bit rustic. Maybe caught in a closed phase. Performed better, when tasted on the facility.

Follow up note: Much more homogeneous the day after with bright red cherries and pine forest notes, performing as when tasted on the winery: upgrade to 86-87p.

Just let it sit a couple of months and it should be fine.

November 8, 2008 - This is a blend of Merlot, Malbec, Syrah, Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, and Pinot Noir.

Clear, deep ruby red core with a wide watery rim.
The nose is clean with a mayflower/floral note and lots of spice. White pepper really shines through. Plump red fruit is in the background but not hidden.
The palate is dry, medium acidity, moderate dusty tannins with real focused red fruits of cherry, plum skin and raspberry. The backpalate is very medicinal, almost bandaidy with a chunk of menthol mixed in for good mesure. The finish is short at best. Medium body, moderate alcohol.
    Very good quality and interesting.
    Drink now - 2009
