February 9, 2018 - This is the classic example of Beaujolais that turns to Burgundy with age. The nose is floral, almost lime like, with beetroot flavors. Little Beaujolais acidity. A little short and even a bit hot on the finish, but still nice and worth aging to this point, but I would drink now.

August 29, 2012 - For whatever reasons, this bottle was not nearly the bottle the previous one was. Could be bottle variation or time. My suspicion is the second, although tarheel17's two bottles two months apart suggests inconsistency in the bottle.

I do not have any more, so this difference will remain one of life's great mysteries for me.

February 28, 2011 - this bottle was much more exciting than the previous one, opened a mere 2 months ago (perhaps that one was barely tainted by TCA, who knows. I'm not very sensitive to it).The nose was a bit simple and grape-juicey, with the barest hint of mineral. The palate, however, exhibited a very finely textured mouthful, with really delicious stone and river rock complemented by tart, drying cranberry, some familiar citrus, and then sweet plum to round it out. Very nice. I take back all the nasty things I said about this 86er and make it an 89er..and a definite re-buy, if available.

February 26, 2011 - Nice bojo quite dry although the glass after dinner and a Barbaresco should more fruit and drank better than the taste before eating.

February 22, 2011 - What an excellent bottle. A poster child for what Beaujolais can be (versus the insipid Beaujolais Noveau with which most people associate Beaujolais). Great Gamay profile -- certainly, there is some "grapiness" in there, but it is so well balanced by some nice minerality and tannins that the grapiness becomes an asset rather than a liability. I have another -- don't see any reason to drink it right away, but I also see no reason to wait.

This definitely a wine for those who think Beaujolais is grape juice. Nothing could be further from the truth.

As noted by Lyle Fass (with whom I do not always agree) Killer bottle -- and I wrote that before reading his review.

December 29, 2010 - this one just really didn't do it for me. Not bad, but not wow. The flavors were too citrus-ey and grape-ey. It sort of reminded me of wine for kids, if there is such a thing. (sorry, no better notes than that.) Once open it did last for a week in the fridge, though.

September 25, 2010 - I'm giving this wine (in my rating of nose-forepalate-midpalate-finish) 8-7-1-3 - the midpalate all but completely fell away, but the finish made a nice recovery, and actually lasts quite a while. A very clean, crisp, and enjoyable wine - the only Boo-Juice I actually liked thus far.

June 8, 2010 - I'd give it another year to shed some acid but great red fruit and a little spice and stone in a well balanced package. 89+
