November 2, 2023 - Much more lively than a bottle 12 months ago, and quite lovely. That said, I do still think this is more of a 20 year wine than a 30 year one.

August 30, 2023 - Medium garnet. Nose of violets and red fruits, earth, wet leaves, dried fruit, hint of pyrazines, cedar. The palate is dry with medium plus acidity, medium soft ripe tannins, medium alcohol and medium body. The flavor intensity is medium plus with red plum, black plum, cedar, violets, toast, dried plum, earth, wet leaves, pyrazines. The finish is medium plus with some dried fruit . The wine is still showing some fresh fruit, has alot of development, and still with the characteristic floral and pyrazine mix of a Cab Franc.

June 5, 2023 - Fruit has dropped or it is in a dull phase. I hope the latter as I have three more. Went well with char- grilled NYS steak

January 15, 2023 - Vinetasters: Loire red (Wilmette, IL): Served double blind. Shows a lot of brett -- dirty and stinky and hard to get past. Despite a riper profile to the fruit, the palate seems disconcertingly thin and hollow, with a slight bitterness and high-toned elements as well. Not much flavour overall here. My 9th, group's 3rd.

December 9, 2022 - By the bottle at Noreetuh in NYC. Decanted for about two hours. It was initially a little thin but is growing with air. Nose is gravelly, burnt tomato leaf, slightly spicy. Palate is red berries, green pepper, tomato leaf, graphite and good acid on the finish. Resolved tannins, perfect with the fried chicken. I think it will last for a while but it’s real solid right now with a quick decant so I say drink up!
