October 28, 2021 - Pretty tired, should have opened this many years ago, but hey! at least it's not pruny/raisiny/stewed fruity! Good color, fairly shy nose showing mostly tertiary notes - dried flowers, very light fruit, dusty leather. Palate isn't bad, just not very interesting.

July 8, 2019 - many earlier notes described this wine as over the hill, but not this bottle - brick with orange rim - beautiful mature CDP nose of dried cherries, white flowers and (just) a touch of roasted red fruits - but the real beauty is in the mouth - light body but elegant balance of old fruit, refreshing acidity and resolved soft tannins - relatively short 10-15 sec finish, but the fruit memory in the mouth lingered long afterward - a beautifully aged CDP that shows what beautiful wines CDPs can turn into when not over-extracted, over-ripe and over-alcoholic

March 25, 2019 - It's dead. Clear bricking with brown and ruby as you move closer to center. No fruit on the attack, a little tired flavor on the finish and no acidity.

December 29, 2018 - Deep maroon not opaque. Leather, dried cherry, meaty and dried herbal/tobacco aromas. Peppery plum sauce and cherry liqueur, some warmth and mixed backing spice. Not much fruit, far more savory, seems a bit tired. Balanced and big

August 22, 2018 - Wonderful last bottle from a case. Just lovely and light, integrated, smoky.

(A-LA MILLIERE CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE VIEILLES VIGNES) #2; COLOR-a little light; NOSE-Wow, really interesting, marzipan, fruity, Yagermeister, very perfume-y; TASTE-Yager on the finish, little bit of a New World CDP (not as earthy), very nice wine; RP-91; GV-90
