June 24, 2023 - I tasted this wine in 2014 and did not like it. This wine is now absolutely wonderful with tertiary flavors and excellent balance and a very elegant mouth feel. I find that syrah and grenache based wines need 20 years before they really come alive. I bought some Parker highly rated Clarendon wines which are shiraz and grenache. I did not like them at all until they were 20 years old. Now they are incredible.

March 17, 2023 - Supper with Frank (Porcine, Oxford Street): Still quite vibrant, red hued fruit, sweet spice, touches of strawberry compote in fact, a little leather and garrigue in support. Juicy, savoury, textured grip, red fruits, rather nice, showing quite primary compared to the 1998. With time it shows a bit more spice and a touch of dried orange peel and meaty underpin. Very nice.

August 18, 2022 - Sweet cherry fruit, Provençal spices, mint. On the lighter, elegant side. Probably drinking at peak now where there’s still plenty of fruit left. Lovely wine. With Rune in Bagnols.

March 27, 2021 - Best du pape i’ve tastes. Smooth tannins, bold but balanced, res fruits and somewhat plums.

January 9, 2021 - Brownish-dull red color. Notes of toasted bread with a bit of char and black raspberries on the nose. This wine has a strange mix of fruit forward and stewed fruits. It has notes of notes of black tea, cola, black raspberry on the front palate followed by stewed black fruit notes with a sweet blackberry finish. Absolutely delicious as well as fascinating .
