January 12, 2012 - Big and juicy. Delicious if that is what you want. Long finish and decent structure. Good with chicken with pomegranate sauce.

July 4, 2011 - Chambord in color, with floral and red fruit scents, this Hell's Kitchen did show
some heat on the nose, which faded after a the 4 hour vinturi wine aeration.
Full-blown red cherry, wild berry and underbrush with a rich chocolate beam
throughout. Displayed good balance and a lift on the finish which offers pretty
nutmeg and spice. This wine blend was showy to start but lost steam as the
    evening progressed. Drink now

June 12, 2010 - Bought this bottle at the Paso Robles winery's tasting room for $48. We decanted for about an hour and drank with Arthur's mushroom-encrusted lamb loin. This is a wondrful GSM-type red blend (40% Syrah, 28% Grenache, 16% Tannat, and 16% Mourvedre). This is a fantastic red blend. The nose provides a hint as to the wine's oakiness, earthiness, and spiciness. The flavor profile is pure Paso GSM: TONS of pepper, ripe black and red fruits (especially plums and blackberries), a generous helping of earth and oak (LOVE that Paso terroir), with an elegant, smooth, well-controlled finish that lingers for just the pefect amount of time. Outside of Chateauneuf du Pape (and Tablas Creek), this is about as good as a GSM gets. It went lovely with the lamb loin but would also pair very well with grilled steaks, lamb shanks, and duck breast. This is a fantastically well-balanced GSM-type blend; lovely and delicious black/red fruit, the PERFECT amount of oak and earth, with a very-well-balanced amount of tannins and a slightly-high amount of alacohol (16%). This is delicious and fairly-priced for a California quality GSM. You could do worse, but it would be difficult to do better for the price. Well done.......
