Community Tasting Notes 7

November 15, 2013 - Over the last two years we have had 6 bottles of this wine and I have not been satisfied with it, as it has seemed somewhat "thin". I have always decanted it but not this time. I opened it one hour prior to drinking. Now it works!!!
All tanninis are basicly gone. Great smell of stable and it is just a great bottle of smooth Bourgogne ready to drink. It will probably be on top for the next two years.

November 10, 2012 - Quite light in style with red fruit, mostly cherries. Quite fresh and pretty nice.

October 19, 2012 - After we opened the wine it seemed somewhat "flat" in the taste. We served it cool as we always do with our Bourgognes, but it did not open up before it passed 20-22 degrees. The wine has almost no tanins left and is probably peaking now. It is very gentle. It is no way near the 2002 vintage which has a lot more power, but is a very nice and pleasant glass of wine. Drink now or the next 2-3 years.

December 30, 2011 - Muted nose, slightly floral with mostly sweet dark cherry fruit. A little disappointed with the complexity but a pleasing bottle with roast chicken.

January 28, 2010 - aromas of dried raspberry with floral and earthy coffee notes. denser and more structured than the NSG plateaux, shows a nice core of red pinot fruit and still has some tannic grip with lively acidity. nice length on the finish exhibiting spice and leather, but there is a trace of warmth (the NSG didn't show any warmth). don't know if this would get much better with additional bottle age, but i'm sure it could hold on for at least a few more years.
