April 2, 2012 - Light citrus nose. Creamy vanilla up front with a prolonged yeastiness throughout the finish. Tight bubbles with a zesty fizziness throughout. Still plenty good. Probably has about 2 years left in it. A very interesting dry brut.

November 27, 2010 - Crisp clean lots of acidity and apples. We usually drink J or Domaine Carneros but this is another good 'go to' bubbly.

June 11, 2010 - Bracing acidity and beautiful mousse. Limestone, earth and lemon peel on the nose. Dry, almost austere palate saved by the beautiful mousse - great with food.

April 3, 2010 - The perfect bubbly for ceviche. Pepper, grass; great acid. Much better than I expected.

    January 13, 2010 - WIML88-89

Tasted January 13, 2010 at an offline. Opened and served immediately. Light yellow color in the glass, clear hue throughout with tiny beading. Light noses of yellow pears and a little bit of yellow apple. Flavors of tangy pears and lemon. Medium acidity and body. Drink over the short term.

December 25, 2009 - We purchased this on a rainy cold day at the winery (tasting room is outside). It was as good or better than we remembered. Bright, crisp, dry - just delightful

June 14, 2009 - Lots of vanilla with the most amazing mouth feel. Very smooth while the medium bubbles popped on the roof of my mouth. Loved this sparkling!

June 12, 2009 - Super crisp with zingy green apple and lemon flavors. Low Dosage sparkling wine which results in a clean and vibrant mouth feel. Picks up some toasted hazelnut as it moves onto the broad finish. Should add more complexity and nuance as it ages. drink now-2016. 89+ pts.

March 18, 2009 - This is an awesome wine. Low dosage -- 0.5. It's 100% Pinot. And it shows. Pure, fresh nose with light toasty notes going along with the bright fruit. In the mouth, really lively, with plenty of bracing acidity. Long finish. My favorite Iron Horse in quite some time. A-
