December 14, 2018 - Definitely beyond its prime. However, it was still drinkable especially with food.

August 17, 2018 - New bottle. A little deeper flavors otherwise, the same as my 8/13/18 notes. Drink up.

    (Served with Corn Risotto, NYT.)

August 13, 2018 - Stored since release. Good ullage. Cork removed in two pieces. Color looks good for 11 years. Apple and pineapple in the nose and on the palate. Tastes rather restrained with maybe an very light touch of olive. Nice balance of flavors and acids - but waining. Tastes fine, but probably better two or three years ago. Drink up.

(Served with a skillet roast chicken with potatoes, carrots, and gravy.)

May 13, 2017 - Medium golden yellow color. Nose of oak, citrus and warmed nuts. Medium-plus bodied with mice mouth feel and moderate acidity. Flavors include the oak which doesn't fade as much as I hoped with some time in the glass, along with lemon, hazelnut and a hint of peach on the finish. Probably a little past its prime but still reasonable and well paired with a bacon wrapped scallop appetizer.

October 15, 2016 - Medium lemon yellow, touching on golden color. Very smokey, burnt oak nose. Underneath the oak is a somewhat fruity layer but it is hard to discern over the oak. Nice texture but again the flavors are overpowered by the smokey oak. There is a little lemon, minerals and some butterscotch on the finish. Much oakier than I normally like. Needs food to calm it down as it retains the oaky character even after several hours open. I'm somewhat torn, but score reflects my more optimistic view.
