January 21, 2023 - Always great. Very typical Williams Selyem with bright fruit.
March 3, 2022 - This one was over the hill. In the beginning it was not bad, but with muted flavors. After an hour it became bitter and sour.
September 6, 2020 - Skunked...
December 15, 2017 - Lots of fruit; big Pinot drinking well
October 18, 2017 - Excellent expression of the grape. A joy to drink.
September 30, 2016 - Opened and poured, this wine has developed nicely since its release. At this stage it shows a blend of youthful and mature elements that give the wine complexity, nuance and depth. This drinks well now and is probably at or around its peak.
November 2, 2015 - fA lovely bottle which opened up considerably over the 4 hours we took to drink it. Paper filtered and decanted leaving a very fine smattering of pebbly residue and yielding a lovely ruby red liquor with aromas of fresh berries. Very fruit forward and rich, it had a wonderfully long finish with an almost sappy mouth feel without any hint of sweetness.
February 20, 2015 - Good the first night, great the 2nd. Sorry to see it go.
December 19, 2014 - 13.9% abv. I took this to an annual Christmas party. It had dark cherry/purple fruit notes Last year I took the Williams Selyem Flax Vineyard Pinot Noir to the same party and it showed some Christmasy spices (nutmeg and cinnamon). This wine had less of those spicy notes and maybe some pepper or Asian spices. I finished the bottle at home the second evening and it tasted rather flat--clearly less fresh than the first evening.
November 26, 2014 - Undeniably the favorite of the night. So polished and texturally pure. Outstanding. 93/94
