June 24, 2018 - Nice but not the best example of its ilk. Not surprising for a 2000. Drink now.
January 26, 2007 - This was a great merlot coming from a guy that doesn't really like merlot.
December 6, 2006 - Consistent with past bottles. Good merlot that delivers cherry and chocolate on the nose. Balanced supple tannins. Finishes with a nice hint of cocoa powder.
September 3, 2006 - Decent merlot. Swanson consistently produces good product for a reasonable price under $25. Red fruits and cocoa powder dominate the nose and mouth. Supple tannins and nice finish.
March 10, 2006 - Nice. A little young. Would wait 2 yrs to consume next btl.
February 2, 2006 - At first, we were worried. Oak and alcohol dominated the nose and palate. After an hour or so, it fleshed out with some cherry vanilla, amountinmg to an average wine.
April 24, 2005 - Nice, but alcohol was too high and dominated.
May 20, 2004 - I was disappointed with this Merlot, although I loved it at a tasting in Palm Springs. Now that I think back, it was better the day after.
