December 18, 2021 - Medium bodied with port like characteristics in flavor and hue. Just a bit leaner on the palate but a beautiful desert wine nonetheless. This wine is in a great place at the moment. Singing and showing beautifully. A complete amalgamation of flavors with nothing prominently standing out. Just a yummy mix of juicy dark fruit, violets and perhaps a hint of ginger. Sweet without being too sweet. Great qpr. Drink or hold.

December 26, 2019 - My eighth bottle and it fizzed when poured. Tasted like the soda version of this wine.

December 13, 2019 - There's no any sign of declining over 50 years. The influence of mild and slow oxidation gives this wine some interesting characters. The aroma was a complex mixture of salty mineral, leather, soy sauce, black vinegar, sour plum, raisins, orange, ginger. The spectrum was very very wide, ranging from salty, sweet with great support of acidity. It's like an orchestra. Highly intense body. It resembles some premium quality Port or Recioto but it seems it's not fortified. Super interesting.

November 30, 2019 - Still going strong. By no means over the hill, or even super tertiary. Very port like. Served with deconstructed Waldorf egg rolls (Stilton, endive spears, and walnuts deep fried in an egg roll skin).

October 26, 2019 - Truffles and a couple of bottles: Charcoal, celery, christmas cake and herbal notes. Palate is holding up well, there is sweetness to go with the herbal savoury notes and keeps up some power into the finish where a final tweak leads to a touch of sourness. Pretty interesting to try.
