November 11, 2020 - not worth to store it for several years, everyone preferred the fresher one (2019)
May 6, 2020 - Drank from Bin East 11. Still hint of grapefruit on the nose with some spice. Sparkling medium yellow color. Medium body mineral presentation that changes to stone and grapefruit on finish. Still delightful after 18 years. 7/10.
April 12, 2020 - Easter dinner from Bin East 11. Cellar since 12/2009. $21.00. Caramel nose, no fruit. Medium yellow. Medium body touch of citrus then stone finish. Past prime. 2/10.
May 6, 2018 - Light lemon green colour, youthfully colour for a 10 yr old wine!
The pronounced nose belies the colour with clear developed aromas of asparagus, but then there is also herbal hints, bags of lemon, lime & gooseberries.
Lively acidity on entry, juicy with a plethora of lemon, gooseberry, boxwood, tarragon and a twist of asparagus,
Linear in palate shape, the fruit is direct and bright, but the wine is ultimately simple and not going anywhere.
The finish is very lemony yet a little short.
August 6, 2017 - Still drinking well in 2017! Light, slight pineapples, apples, slight oak, very little touch of cream at the end. Medium to long finish.. nice!
May 31, 2015 - Screw cap, slight sulphur on nose on first opening, left to clear 10 mins. Elegant now, leaning in feel and flavour towards an unoaked Chardonnay.
May 13, 2015 - I don't know what the people who critized this wine before drank but I find this wine delicous. A lot of grapefruit lemongrass and orange skin has this wine. Although I am not a fan of Cloudy Bay and younger vintages disappointed me, this wine vintage is superb.
September 2, 2014 - NGVFM !!
October 3, 2013 - Far from the best example of this wine I've tasted. The fruit is on the wane. Probably past it's peak some time ago.
September 30, 2013 - Need to drink
