March 30, 2019 - Popped around noon, and poured into a Voss bottle, to be served during dinner at ~7'ish pm. Deep purple, opaque. Scents of cassis, liquor fruit-cake aplenty. Sweet primary fruits on the palate - driven by blackberries and a tad of cured meats. However, this was beautifully balanced by good acidity/freshness. Still a baby, monolithic at that. Really wonder how this will develop with another decade (or two) of cellar ageing...?

    December 21, 2018 - WOW!
It’s hard to have a better interpretation of C9dP, I think it can be different but not really better.
Lots of kirsch liquor, boysenberries, truffles and some marzipan. What makes this wine truly great is its inner balance and tension. It is in no way jamy but has a great structure and acidity to balance the immense power.
The tannins are smooth but existing and I believe it will easily hold for another decade. Glad to have 2 more bottles.

November 9, 2018 - Tasted blind. Easy to call this CDP due to the presence of Grenache. This is a brooding rich wine with loads of kirsch liqueur. Not my style of wine, but it was tasting better than other 2007 CDPs that I’ve had.

October 30, 2018 - Had dinner at Marche' Modern in Newport Beach, CA. This wine was perfect with our entree steaks. Decanted at restaurant for an hour before pouring. Forrest floor nose with mild fruit. Then the fruit was primary on the palate with dark berries dominant. The finish was very long. Lots of tastes and smells going on through the complete process. Very mild tannin integrated wonderfully to offset the voluptuous finish. One of the very best wines I have ever consumed over the past few years. Seems to be prime consumption right now but all of the above factors tell me it will perform admirably for years. Not an affordable wine, but well worth the cost and storage effort for a great wine. Luckily, I purchased 3 !

October 28, 2018 - Really good. Deep, powerful, layered and complex. Harmonious.
