November 21, 2021 - Finishing up the remnants of Friday’s bottle. Really ripe and raisiny. Sweet black fruit and raisin on the palate with hints of licorice.

November 19, 2021 - Friday Night Brown Bagger (Eagle Brook CC): Blind, but easy to pick out as our CndP in this flight. Notes of caramel, black fruit and herbs. Medium-bodied, with flavors of caramel and sweet red and black fruit. Gains some complexity as it sits in the glass, adding licorice, black fruit liqueur and ripe berry elements. Raisin qualities apparent in the background.

This had been double decanted off its sediment about two & a half hours before the flight was poured. Nowhere near a 100-pt wine, let alone worth the coin. I've yet to have a 2007, other than Pegau, that's been worthy of the pro review or price.

June 18, 2021 - This is a pop and pour story of a 14 year old wine, Chateauneuf wine from Janasse Vieilles Vignes that’s beautiful.

No decanting, no airing out, it’s a night of pop the cork and simply poured a glass of wine.

But what a full body, extremely long finish that is balanced, it is simply spectacular after all these years later, and it has so many more years left too.
